Although the 2026 NFL Draft is not considered to be a strong one, that does not mean gems won’t be found after the first round. Every year, no matter how good or bad the class is, good players will drop, or unknown players will be put in situations where they can succeed. In the second round, there may be first-round-level players sprinkled throughout, but we won’t know for a few years. Just last year, the New Orleans Saints selected QB Tyler Shough in the second round, and after his rookie year, it proved he should have been selected in the first. We currently do not know if that will last, but for now, this is the truth.Â
