Zak Koeppel of NFL.com put together a 2026 offseason resources rankings, comparing how all 32 teams, including the Jacksonville Jaguars, stack up in terms of salary cap and draft capital.

Not surprisingly, the Jaguars are near the bottom of these rankings, coming in at tied for 28th. Jacksonville ranks 27th in salary cap rank and 23rd in draft capital rank.

From a salary cap standpoint, the Jaguars are projected to be $13.04 million over the 2026 salary cap, according to Over the Cap.

There is, of course, the ability to create more room, which GM James Gladstone will have to do, but reducing the Jaguars’ spending power this offseason is a huge amount of dead cap that is on the books after quite a bit of roster turnover last year.

In the draft, the Jaguars are without a first-round pick after trading it away last April to move up for Travis Hunter. That is a big reason why they are ranked so low in that category.

However, Gladstone still maintains quite a bit of flexibility in the draft as well. Jacksonville has four picks in the top 100 and 11 picks in total, giving Gladstone the ability to still add immediate help and the ability to move around the draft board as needed.

Although the Jaguars aren’t ranked highly on Koeppel’s list, the opportunity to bolster the roster still exists, although we may not see a lot of splash additions.
