The Baltimore Ravens‘ offseason will see a lot of roster movement for Jesse Minter, as several key decisions could negatively impact the team.
With Lamar Jackson’s contract the big-ticket item holding back the franchise from participating in free agency, that is job No. 1.
But there are others in three-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum who need a new contract, and then one who is perhaps being forgotten but might be just as important — tight end Isaiah Likely.
And if Ravens fans thought Likely could be returning, well, The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec just gave an update that they won’t like.
“Likely is extremely close with Lamar Jackson, so it’s hard to completely rule out a Baltimore return,” Zrebiec wrote. “However, over the past eight months, the Ravens made no progress in their efforts to extend Likely, and they’ve since paid Andrews. It would be extremely hard for them to have two guys making top-eight tight end money with all their needs elsewhere.”

Did Ravens drop the ball on Likely?
Having two top tight ends making good money isn’t ideal, and that is why when the news dropped that Baltimore signed Mark Andrews to a new contract, it was a little odd.
Granted, you can’t discard a franchise great so easily, but with Likely seen as Andrews’ logical replacement, it did put his future in doubt.
Now, if the Ravens do lose out on Likely being with the franchise long-term, that will be, in my opinion, a big mistake.
His big-play ability and chemistry with Lamar, not to mention that he offers more as a passing threat than Andrews, mean he should be sticking around.
But it appears that Likely will be one Raven who is flying elsewhere this offseason.
