Construction on the Buffalo Bills’ new stadium was temporarily halted after graffiti vandalism was discovered at the site.
Work was paused on Monday after markings were found in multiple areas inside the developing facility. The incident is believed to have occurred over the weekend.

Work halted after graffiti discovered inside stadium
Construction was suspended when graffiti was identified in several locations throughout the new Buffalo Bills stadium, affecting both completed and unfinished portions of the structure.
The discovery led project leaders to immediately stop work while the matter was addressed.
Gilbane|Turner, one of the lead contractors overseeing the build, confirmed that operations were paused and a full investigation was launched in coordination with trade contractors and unions.
The company stated it has zero tolerance for graffiti, vandalism, or defacement of property and described the behavior as unacceptable.
Officials have not disclosed details about the content of the graffiti and have not identified any individuals connected to the incident.
Investigation underway as 2026 opening approaches
Attention is now centered on reviewing the situation and preventing further disruptions to the project timeline.
The stadium is scheduled to open for the 2026 NFL season, although the project had previously been reported as slightly behind schedule during the winter.
The temporary suspension represents a short-term setback as construction crews work to maintain progress toward completion.
The Buffalo Bills’ future home remains a significant development for the franchise, with plans in place to transition into the new stadium ahead of the 2026 campaign.
