When news dropped that Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans would be returning in 2026, and not retiring, fans were happy.
But it was reported that Evans will be keeping his options open as far as which team he will play for, and there is a thought he could chase a Super Bowl.
However, it appears that some have forgotten that Evans has climbed to the top of the NFL mountain before.
Fox Sports’ Jason McIntyre was on The Herd and talking about Evans’ next move, and stated that Evans has to be motivated to chase a Super Bowl because he hasn’t sniffed one in Tampa Bay.
Except he has, Jason…in 2020 with Tom Brady. Remember?

Evans is a Super Bowl champion
Now, everyone makes mistakes; we get that. But people were quick to point out McIntyre’s stumble here, with what we think is common knowledge that Evans is a Super Bowl champion.
Having been part of the Buccaneers team that beat the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020, that is likely something McIntyre should know, and he likely does. Maybe he is referencing the fact that since that season, Evans hasn’t sniffed one, which would then make his statement correct.
But that isn’t what people are doing.
They are tearing strips of Jason for missing what should be an obvious known fact about Evans and his Super Bowl ring.
