In a recent poll of the most loved and hated NFL players from Vegas Insider, one former and one soon-to-be former New York Giants quarterback figure prominently.
Russell Wilson remains one of the most-loved, coming in at No. 8. Although Wilson is not expected to be back with Big Blue this season, he is still a favorite among fans. He will enter free agency next month, and we’ll see if general managers feel the same way about him.
Daniel Jones, now with the Indianapolis Colts, finished one spot higher than Wilson on the most-loved list.
Allen, Daniel Jones (No. 7, 9.20), and Russell Wilson (No. 8, 9.01) remain near the top because positive sentiment persists even at heavy discussion volume.
Jones also came in at No. 5 on the most-hated list, demonstrating what a polarizing figure he has become in this league.

Daniel Jones (No. 5, 7.31), Justin Fields (No. 8, 6.14), and Aaron Rodgers (No. 12, 5.80) all sit near the top of the hate list — reflecting scrutiny that scales with visibility.
As the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft by the Giants, Jones was a disappointment, but then he redeemed himself as a free agent, resurfacing in Indy last year. He was leading the Colts towards the playoffs with an 8-5 record when he went down with an Achilles injury in December, ending his season.
Wilson was once the darling of the league, leading the Seattle Seahawks to back-to-back Super Bowls, but he has been with four different teams over the past five seasons and started just three games for the Giants in 2025, losing them all.
He fulfilled his lifelong dream of playing for the Giants, but that tenure was short-lived. The Giants now have Jaxson Dart entrenched as their starter with Jameis Winston as the primary backup. There’s no room for an expensive “emergency” option at quarterback, no matter how popular.
