Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders reacted on social media to one of his veteran offensive linemen, Wyatt Teller, announcing his departure.

Teller took to social media on Wednesday with an extended message, announcing he would not be returning to the Browns. Teller is an unrestricted free agent, but a return to Cleveland isn’t in the cards.

“I wish things were different and this is hard to put into words. When Buffalo traded me to Cleveland seven years ago, I never could have imagined how much this city would mean to me,” Teller wrote in a note shared on social media. “Ultimately, the Browns took a chance on me that changed the trajectory of my life forever.

“While we are excited and look forward to what the future holds, Cleveland will always have a special place in our hearts. As always… Go Browns!”

Multiple Browns players, including Sanders, could be found in the comments reacting to the news.

“Gonna miss you bro,” Sanders wrote, along with a sad face.

Myles Garrett was also in the mix, writing, “Love you brotha.”

Browns Face Uncertainty Along Offensive Line

Teller could be the first domino to fall along the Browns’ offensive line. Center Ethan Pocic, tackle Jack Conklin, and guard Joel Bitonio are all slated to hit unrestricted free agency, setting the stage for significant turnover up front.

Browns general manager Andrew Berry hinted at the end of the season that the offensive line could look very different heading into next season.

“I think the reality of it is a year ago, when we decided to make the pivot that we did, you also realize that you’re not going to be able to accomplish everything at once for the roster,” Berry said. “The offensive line, that’s a position group that I do imagine will have a fair amount of turnover as we go into 2026. But we also do feel like it was important this year, and quite honestly going into next year, to give young players snaps if we’re ultimately going to build the core and foundation that we need to win perennially.”

Browns Sorting Out Quarterback Situation

Another unsettled position heading into next season is the quarterback spot. Sanders appears to be the leading candidate after starting the final seven games last season. However, new head coach Todd Monken did not commit to the former fifth-round pick while being introduced.

“Well, I think like any position on the team, that’s still to be determined. Am I excited about Shedeur? Am I excited about all the quarterbacks in the room? Am I excited to coach this football team? Absolutely,” Monken said. “I can’t wait for them to get back and for us to get started.”

Sanders went 3-4 in his starts, passing for 1,400 yards, seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions. While there were clear highs and lows, Sanders came away feeling optimistic about his future after a roller coaster rookie year.

“You can see it. It’s kind of like mastering how to get to that place all the time,” Sanders said on the Up & Adams show. “You have flashes. That’s the most thing I appreciate about this year is that I proved to myself, I’m able to dominate the league. But I’m able to take completions, I’m able to put all of that together, and definitely in games, we have flashes, but I know I’m capable of doing that. Now, to do it on a consistent basis, that’s what the goal is. But for me in this past season, that’s what proved to myself. No matter what happened, no matter anything that transpired, you are able to go out there and compete.”

The Browns will also have Dillon Gabriel and Deshaun Watson under contract for next season.
