Klint Kubiak continues to add to his first staff as coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

The team added position coaches on both sides of the ball as well as a senior defensive assistant Wednesday.

Zach Azzanni was named wide receivers coach, taking on a role he has had with four other teams over the past nine years. The team is also expected to name Omar Young to lead Ashton Jeanty and the running backs.

Ronell Williams has accepted the linebackers coach position, and veteran coach Al Holcomb will join the staff as a senior defensive assistant.

Azzanni was with the Pittsburgh Steelers the past two seasons after one year with the New York Jets.

It was with the Denver Broncos the previous five years when Azzanni established himself, as he helped mentor young talents such as Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick.

Kubiak was an offensive assistant on that staff in Azzanni’s first season on the job and returned as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach working alongside Azzanni in 2022.

Before taking his first NFL job with the Chicago Bears in 2017, Azzanni worked in the college ranks for nearly two decades.

That experience included three years as an assistant head coach and receivers coach at his alma mater of Central Michigan, where he helped spearhead the recruiting efforts to land Antonio Brown.

Azzanni served as a graduate assistant under Urban Meyer at Bowling Green in 2001 and 2002.

Young has spent the past two years as running backs coach at Iowa and has experience at the NFL and college levels, spending time on offense and special teams.

The Oakland, California, native has served in various roles with the New England Patriots, Bears, Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns.

Young will replace Deland McCullough, who gained national attention for his remarkable family story and is expected to be named running backs coach at the University of Oklahoma.

On the defensive side, Holcomb will bring extensive experience to his role in support of first-time defensive coordinator Rob Leonard.

Holcomb, 55, has been coaching for 30 years, including 17 at the NFL level. He was the interim defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers in 2022 after Matt Rhule was fired.

The New York native and West Virginia alum has spent the past three years with the Buffalo Bills, including the past two as linebackers coach.

He could be a key resource for Williams, who will run his own linebackers room for the first time.

Williams has been the assistant linebackers coach and defensive quality control coach for the Philadelphia Eagles the past two seasons, helping oversee the breakout of Zack Baun.

He started his pro coaching career with the Bears as part of the Bill Walsh Coaching Fellowship and stayed in the organization the next four years as a defensive quality control coach before coaching nickel backs during his first season in Philadelphia.

Williams earned a graduate degree in higher education from Temple in 2018 while working as a graduate assistant with the Owls’ football team.
