Trade rumors around veteran pass rusher Maxx Crosby are swirling right now, with the Las Vegas Raiders trying to make sense of it all. Crosby has pushed back a little on the noise, but many people around the NFL do believe that this will be the offseason for the star to be moved.

In one recent mock trade scenario, Bill Barnwell of ESPN proposed the Raiders should look to send Crosby to the Chicago Bears for wide reciever DJ Moore. This could kill two birds with one stone for each team, and it does make some sense on the surface.

Why DJ Moore Makes Sense For Raiders

Losing Crosby would hurt, but adding an extra first-round pick could allow the Raiders more chances to build toward the future. Las Vegas has a lot of holes on the roster, and the 2026 class is expected to be very good.

But landing Moore here could be the icing on the cake, especially with the Raiders’ desperate need at wide receiver. In 17 games with the Bears this past season, Moore caught 50 passes for 582 yards and six touchdowns.

While he was a valuable piece to Chicago, it was clear that Rome Odunze became the favorite target for quarterback Caleb Williams when he was on the field. Moore also seemed to look unhappy with the Bears, so he could be on the move this offseason.

Adding a proven wideout like Moore could help the expected first overall draft pick, Fernando Mendoza, out tremeously, and the Raiders should be looking to bring more talent into the mix. Las Vegas could start building something special, even after losing Crosby in this deal.

Why Maxx Crosby Makes Sense For Bears

Entering the offseason, the biggest concern for the Bears across the roster is on the defensive side of the ball. Chicago was great at getting turnovers this year, but it struggled to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Overall, the Bears finished the season ranked 29th overall in pressure rate for the regular season, and the front office has to do something about this. Adding a player like Crosby could drastically help things, and he could take this defensive unit to a new level.

Going to Chicago would allow Crosby the opportunity to play for a contending team, and this could be one of the better landing spots for him. Chicago is a team on the up-and-up, and Crosby could bring his flair to the defense, helping them take over next season.

Since Crosby is under a team-friendly deal, this could be the best way for the Bears to add to the defense, while not completely breaking the bank. Overall, this potential trade could push the Bears from playoff contenders to Super Bowl contenders once this deal is finalized.
