Baltimore’s 2026 NFL offseason is underway, and the Ravens‘ focus will shift to reshaping the roster and getting quarterback Lamar Jackson to the next level as a passer. One big move will be to restructure Jackson’s deal, or sign him to a new, lucrative contract extension. Baltimore currently has $22,043,387 in cap space and plenty of moves to create even more room.
With the Mach 9 legal tampering period fast approaching, we’re looking at key contracts and the decisions that’ll shape the offseason.
Lamar Jackson: $74,500,000 cap hit
Jackson, who’ll count $74.5 million against the cap in 2026 and 2027, could soon be the league’s highest-paid signal-caller. Back in June, GM Eric DeCosta confirmed that the Ravens and Jackson had begun preliminary talks on a new deal. That was nine months ago, and as we sit 19 days away from the start of the new league year, there has been no apparent movement or rumors that the organization is nearing a deal with Jackson. A new deal would create $40 million in salary cap space.
Roquan Smith: No more guaranteed money
Smith just finished a season where he earned his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl nod. Smith’s team-high 130 tackles (74 solo) ranked 15th in the NFL and 7th in the AFC. He added five tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, three passes defensed, and one fumble recovery. Still, he has no guaranteed money on his contract, a $16 million base salary, and a $32,718,750 cap hit.

In 2024, Humphrey was named an All-Pro, but he experienced the largest regression in the entire NFL last season. After an outstanding All-Pro season in 2024, he was one of the lowest-rated players at his position. Baltimore now faces a decision regarding the cornerback, with expectations that he will either be traded or cut outright. If the team decides to cut Humphrey, it would save them $19,259,300 in 2026, the final year of his current contract, although there would still be $7,016,700 in dead money.
Nnamdi Madubuike: $30,975,000 cap hit
Baltimore lost Nnamdi Madubuike and Broderick Washington to season-ending injuries, and Madubuike’s future remains uncertain entering free agency. That’s concerning, especially with the All-Pro defensive tackle carrying $22 million in guaranteed salary and a $30 million cap hit.
Broderick Washington: $5,860,000 cap hit
A key piece of Baltimore’s defensive front for the past six seasons, Washington has four tackles and one start this season before being placed on Injured Reserve after ankle surgery. Releasing Washington with a post-June 1 designation would save the Ravens $4,010,000, with $1,850,000 in dead salary cap space.
Zay Flowers: Eligible for a contract extension
A two-time Pro Bowler, Flowers logged 86 receptions for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns this season, also adding one rushing touchdown. His 1,211 receiving yards rank seventh in the NFL and second in the AFC, while his 86 receptions ranked 11th. Enter year four: Flowers is eligible for an extension and his fifth-year option.
