Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s wife, Ronika Stone, has announced her retirement from professional volleyball
The Green Bay Packers have had a surprisingly busy start to the offseason. Changes to the coaching staff are continuing to be made, with special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia abruptly stepping down from his post earlier this week. After losing defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley earlier this offseason, this means head coach Matt LaFleur has more work to do when it comes to filling out his coaching staff.
Once LaFleur’s staff gets sorted out, though, the team will shift its attention to finding a way to upgrade its roster to give star quarterback Jordan Love some more support. Ahead of the start of free agency, Love’s wife, Ronika Stone, announced some major news that will have an impact on his off-field life.

Love is most well-known for his play on the field with the Packers, where he has helped Green Bay remain competitive in the wake of Aaron Rodgers’ departure. In 2025, Love threw for 3,381 yards and 23 touchdowns in 15 games, helping the Packers return to the playoffs for the third-straight year. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in the wild-card round by the Chicago Bears.
Off the field, Love is happily married to Stone. The couple began dating back in 2020 before they eventually tied the knot in 2025, and now, they are expecting their first child together in the spring of 2026. While Love is quite well-known among football fans, Stone is quite the athlete herself, as she’s been playing professional volleyball since 2020.
With a child on the way, this is a big offseason for Love in more ways than one. And now, Stone has revealed some major news that will add another wrinkle to Love’s off-field life. In anticipation of their child, Stone announced that she is retiring from professional volleyball in order to focus on this upcoming major milestone in her and Love’s lives.
“In 2010, I nervously stepped into a volleyball tryout not knowing this sport would change my life forever. And now, 16 years later, here I am saying goodbye,” Stone said as part of her announcement in a post on Instagram. “I’m blessed to walk away on my own terms. Literally creating new life and stepping into a new chapter so … Thank you, volleyball. I’ll never be able to say thank you enough.”

The past year or so has been a whirlwind for Love and Stone, and this is another big move for them. With their first child on the way, though, Stone has decided to focus on building a family with Love, putting an end to her volleyball career. Decisions like these certainly aren’t easy, but nobody can play their sport of choice forever.
This offseason, the Packers are going to do what they can to ensure that Love can play under center for them as long as possible. Getting him some help on offense, particularly at wide receiver and along the offensive line, could be key to helping Green Bay find a way to take a major step forward next season. It won’t be easy, but that’s the price you have to pay sometimes if you want to go on a Super Bowl run, which is the Packers’ primary goal right now.
