Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, celebrate a sweet family milestone.

The Kansas City Chiefs look to bounce back in 2026 and finishing last season 6-11 and missing the postseason. However, much of the Chiefs’ success will hinge on the recovery of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes tore his ACL and MCL in Week 15. He immediately underwent reconstructive surgery and has been rehabbing ever since. Speaking to reporters on February 20, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid gave an update on the three-time Super Bowl MVP.

“He’s around here all the time, spends a ton of time here,” Reid said. “Seven hours a day. He’s in there cranking away, making progress every day. It’s great to see.” The 30-year-old quarterback continues to work closely with Julie Frymyer, the Chiefs’ assistant trainer and physical therapist.

“She makes sure he stays on task and challenges him,” Reid continued. “And he keeps showing up. That’s about half the battle on these things. It’s not going to be a pleasant thing. Every day you’ve got to fight through it and attack the challenge of the workout. He’s doing a great job with that.”

When Mahomes isn’t training at the team facility, he’s leaning on support from his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and spending quality time with his family. On Friday, they celebrated a special milestone.

Patrick & Brittany Mahomes Went All Out to Celebrate Daughter Sterling’s 5th Birthday
Mahomes and Brittany celebrated their eldest daughter Sterling’s fifth birthday on February 21. Along with son, Bronze, 3, they made a visit to Peppa Pig Theme Park in Dallas-Fort Worth. The famous couple also share a younger daughter, Golden, 1.

A few of their closest flew in for the festivities. Mahomes’ mom, Randi Mahomes, and half-sister, Mia, also attended the birthday party. The big day included rides at the park, playground, and a Peppa Pig cake with pink frosting. “It decided to be to cold today, but nothing stopped us,” Brittany captioned a selfie with Sterling on a roller coaster.

The family got a second cake at dinner. Brittany posted a photo of the dessert tray that read “Happy Birthday” in chocolate syrup and wrote, “Still can’t believe my baby girl is 5, very emotional over here” with a crying face emoji.

Randi Mahomes shared an Instagram tribute to her granddaughter and wrote, “Happy 5th Birthday to our sweet Sterling ❤️ Five years of big hugs and the kindest little heart. You made me a Grandi, and that will forever be one of my greatest blessings. Watching you grow into such a strong, smart, beautiful little girl has been the joy of my life!”

Mahomes commented with simple red-heart emoji while Brittany added, “Crying 😭😭😭… We love you🤍🤍.”

In an interview with WHOOP’s Will Ahmed, the founder & CEO of the fitness company, Brittany spoke about the possibility of having another baby.

“Nope,” she answered. “We’re done. We’re done for a while. Three. I don’t know, I mean I feel like you can never like say you’re done, but I think three is all I need.”

Mahomes appears to be on the same page. During a press conference shortly after Golden’s birth last year, “We’ll see down the line, maybe,” he said. “But my goal was always three. So, we’ve had three. And we’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”

Right now, they’re soaking life with three young ones. “It’s cool to welcome another baby girl in our family and see how my other kids react to her,” he added. “Having baby sissy and stuff like that—it’s been a lot of fun.”
