FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys and running back Javonte Williams have agreed to terms on a three-year, $24 million contract.

Williams, 25, signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Cowboys going into the 2025 season. Now, after a career-best 1,201 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns, Dallas keeps Williams in their backfield long term.

After the 2025 season concluded, the Cowboys were not shy about the fact that they wanted to keep Williams in Dallas long-term.

“Javonte’s at the top of our list to go out and sign,” Cowboys COO/co-owner Stephen Jones said in early January. “We want to bring him back. We want to sign him to a multiple year deal.”

And now they have. Next on the agenda offensively is WR George Pickens, and a big week in those negotiations could be coming up at the NFL Combine, a place that Jones has said in the past is a good time for teams and representatives of players to get together to being contract negotiations.
