A former Carolina Panthers defender may be settling in further down south.

As announced on Friday, cornerback Keith Taylor has re-signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Taylor, now 27 years old, began his NFL career in Carolina.

The Panthers selected Taylor, a University of Washington product, in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3 defensive back went on to start in five of his 34 games for the team through 2022—amassing 67 combined tackles, six passes defensed and two fumble recoveries.

Carolina waived Taylor ahead of his third pro campaign, during final roster cuts for the 2023 regular season.

Taylor would land with the Kansas City Chiefs a few days later. He’d stick on as a member of the Super Bowl LVIII team and go on to appear in 11 games for the Chiefs in 2024.

His most recent in-game action came in Week 10 of this past season, with the Atlanta Falcons. Jacksonville then signed Taylor off Atlanta’s practice squad on Christmas Day of 2025.
