For the first option, we are attacking a bit of a lower need for the Saints, but still a need nonetheless. Since being selected in the second round, Las Vegas Raiders TE Michael Mayer has never lived up to the expectations placed on him, but he has also never been used enough. He has the talent to be a TE1, and although that may not be with the Saints due to Juwan Johnson securing it last season, Mayer would be in a much better role in New Orleans.
