The Cleveland Browns have a real opportunity to fill in some major roster holes through free agency this offseason. They have several possible paths to consider, but focusing on their biggest areas of need in free agency will be crucial to positioning themselves for success in the draft. GM Andrew Berry historically does not like to use the draft to fill immediate needs, but rather to focus on the future. Free agency will be the time to focus on those immediate needs, and there are a few players who stand out.

Wide Receiver Alec Pierce

The Browns have been lacking talent at wide receiver for many seasons now, and specifically have a big need for a vertical threat. Alec Pierce has led the league in yards per reception for two straight seasons, making him a valuable weapon for any quarterback Cleveland might bring in and a strong addition for creating more explosive plays.

Offensive Tackle Rasheed Walker

There is a lot of uncertainty about who will be on the Browns’ offensive line in 2026, so it will be really important to bring in some new players to fill the gaps in this group. Rasheed Walker will be one of the best offensive tackles available in free agency. There is potential for him to be a long-term solution at left tackle that Cleveland has not had in quite some time.

Wide Receiver Rashid Shaheed

It could be beneficial to pursue more than one wide receiver in free agency, and Rashid Shaheed is another potential option. He brings speed and the ability to create big plays to the table while also providing the team with another option as a returner. The Browns have been lacking a solid returner, so there is some massive upside in this move.
