Tyreek Hill teased a return to the Chiefs after the team reunited with offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy

There’s no doubt that the Atlanta Falcons need wide receiver help. To make things a bit worse, the team does not have a first-round draft pick in 2026.

The Atlanta Falcons will be expected to attack multiple positions specifically in free agency. Wide receiver should be at the top of the position list.

“The wide receiver position has to be near the top of the list for the Falcons this offseason. Matt Urben wrote in a Falcons Wire article. Drake London is a budding star in this league, but he missed time last season and there’s a lack of overall depth behind him. Darnell Mooney was banged up for much of the year, which hindered his production.”

“Plus, the Falcons released Ray-Ray McCloud during the season and never found a capable third option. Tight end Kyle Pitts emerged as the team’s top pass-catcher in 2025, but his contract is up and there’s no guarantee he will return in 2026.”

The Atlanta Falcons Should Target Speedsters

According to Urben’s article, the most popular name in free agency will be 5-time All-Pro Tyreek Hill. Hill is coming off a gruesome leg injury in 2025, but the Falcons could still see the ‘Cheetah’ being effective.

“The veteran wideout has made eight Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams since entering the league back in 2016. Hill has topped the 1,000-yard receiving mark six times in his NFL career, finishing with over 1,700 receiving yards in both 2022 and 2023. We imagine Hill will sign a one-year, incentive-laden deal.” Urben wrote.

Another receiver with game-changing speed is Rashid Shaheed. Shaheed had 59 catches, 687 yards, and 2 touchdowns.

“Shaheed seems like an ideal fit due to his game-breaking speed and special teams ability. [Rashiid Shaheed] has 153 career receptions for 2,243 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns over four NFL seasons. The Falcons released return man Jamal Agnew, so there’s a need for a versatile receiver with return ability.” Urben wrote.

28-year-old Marquis Brown is another speedster listed on the list. The former first-round draft pick caught 49 passes for 587 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

“Brown is another receiver who fits as a No. 2/No. 3 option to complement London and [Darnell] Mooney.” Urben wrote.

Other Notable Names the Atlanta Falcons Should Target

Wan’Dale Robinson is another name the Falcons will likely target. Robinson had a great year with the New York Giants. He recorded 92 catches, 1,014 yards, and 4 touchdowns.

“Robinson is the biggest name on this list, even if he’s the smallest in stature. Pairing the 5-foot-8 Robinson with the 6-foot-4 London would give the Falcons a dynamic duo at wide receiver capable of punishing opposing defenses in a variety of ways.” Urben wrote.

Romeo Doubs could be the number 2 receiver the Atlanta Falcons are looking for. Doubs had 55 catches for 724 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2025.

“While Doubs never quite developed into that next star receiver for the Packers, he has consistently improved over the last four seasons. At 25 years old, Doubs still has plenty of upside.” Urben wrote.

Former seventh-round pick Jawan Jennings is another notable receiver on the list. In 2025, Jennings recorded 55 catches, 643 yards, and 9 touchdowns.

“Despite the team’s injuries at quarterback in 2025, Jennings recorded a career-high nine touchdowns. Over the past two seasons combined, Jennings has 132 catches for 1,618 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in 25 starts.” Urben wrote.
