INDIANAPOLIS — A Netherlands man was named Indianapolis Colts 2025 “International Fan of the Year.”
Lucas Lejeune, of Roermond, The Netherlands, will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to represent the Colts at the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He will also be nominated for the NFL International Fan of the Year, which will be announced during Draft Weekend.
Lejeune discovered the Colts in 2019, officials said, while studying as an exchange student in Indiana.
Since then, he’s traveled across the U.S. and Europe to watch the team play, attending games in Indianapolis; Nashville, Tennessee; Frankfurt, Germany; and Berlin, Germany.
Lejeune event created a group chat called “Blue Crew Europe” that has more than 100 Colts fans.
Lejeune recently hosted the first European Colts Cookout, which he plans to make an annual event.
He turned his garden shed into the “Colts Gardenhouse,” where he, and fellow Colts fans, watch every single game.
Lejeune currently works for ESPN Netherlands, officials said, where he has attended the NFL Combine and contributed to a Colts-focused documentary for European fans.
“Being International Fan of the Year for the Colts means a lot to me,” Lejeune said. “For me, it is a way of staying in touch with great people I met during my exchange year in the U.S. Winning this award feels like I am representing that and the great American culture I’ve learned from them over here the best way I can.”
The “International Fan of the Year” award recognizes “extraordinary NFL fans around the world who inspire others through their love of American football,” officials said.
