Lambeau Field is one of the most historic sports venues in the world. The gameday atmosphere is as good as it gets in the NFL, and the Packers always have a strong homefield advantage. To ensure that remains the case, Green Bay’s vice president of sales and business development Craig Benzel released a strong statement on Monday regarding season tickets.
“Our Season Ticket Holders are central to Lambeau Field’s significant homefield advantage and gameday experience,” Benzel stated. “We continue to emphasize the purpose of having season tickets, which is to attend games and contribute to that atmosphere. Simply put: Packers Season Ticket Holders who purchase their tickets with the sole intent of reselling them should not be Packers Season Ticket Holders.”
The Packers have had issues with people purchasing season tickets for the sole purpose of reselling them. The team realizes that sometimes season ticket holders can’t make every game and occasionally need to sell, but those who are caught doing so repeatedly could face having their tickets not be renewed without warning.
According to the Packers’ official website, more than 155,000 fans were on the Packers’ season-ticket waiting list last year. As far as those who do have season tickets, they will receive invoices as soon as next week, which will feature pricing, Green Bay’s 2026 opponents, and the team’s expectations of season ticket members.

The Packers are looking to put it all together next season and secure another Lombardi Trophy. They have made the playoffs in each of their last three seasons, but were eliminated in the wild-card round in 2025 and 2024, and the divisional round in 2023. Matt LaFleur has a career 3-6 postseason record as the team’s head coach.
Green Bay was plagued by injuries last year, most notably to EDGE Micah Parsons, tight end Tucker Kraft, and right tackle Zach Tom. Parsons and Kraft’s injuries (both ACL tears) could jeopardize them missing the beginning of the 2026 season. Both were having All-Pro caliber seasons before going down.
The Packers have several key players set to become free agents in March, such as wide receiver Romeo Doubs, quarterback Malik Willis, linebacker Quay Walker, and left tackle Rasheed Walker. It’s possible that they lose each of those names as Green Bay currently has limited salary cap space to work with.
However, there are players who the Packers could cut this offseason for significant savings, such as offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins and defensive end Rashan Gary. They could also restructure some contracts to create more cap space, like those of offensive lineman Aaron Banks, quarterback Jordan Love, and safety Xavier McKinney.
Following free agency, Green Bay currently has six selections in the 2026 NFL Draft. That is not including potential complementary picks, which will be revealed in early March. The Packers are projected to get comp picks in the seventh round for former center Josh Myles and linebacker Eric Wilson. They will not have a first-round pick due to the Parsons trade last year.
