WWE Hall of Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan is a legend in the pro wrestling business, but he also had the chance to make an impact in another sport.
Duggan unearthed an old paycheck from the NFL during his stint as an offensive lineman with the Atlanta Falcons in 1977:
One social media user revealed that the $194,892 net pay that Duggan received in 1977 would be equivalent to a $1.04 million paycheck today:
According to Duggan’s WWE.com profile, his history of knee injuries forced the Falcons to cut him before his NFL career truly began. From there, he transitioned to pro wrestling and became one of the most beloved WWE Superstars of his generation.
The 72-year-old has made sporadic WWE appearances in recent years, most recently appearing on an episode of SmackDown last July as part of tribute to the late Hulk Hogan.
