The Detroit Lions were among a group of teams that met with North Carolina Central running back Chris Mosley at the HBCU Legacy Bowl, per Justin Melo of SI.
Mosley, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back, ran for 1,017 yards and eight touchdowns last season on 188 carries in 11 games. The Fort Worth, Texas, and Centennial High School product also caught 30 passes for 324 yards and a pair of scores for the Eagles in 2025.
The Lions joined a group of teams that also included the Giants, Ravens, Buccaneers, Titans, Jets, Commanders, Vikings and Jaguars that expressed interest in Mosley.
Here’s a look at some of Mosley’s highlights and work from HBCU Legacy Bowl practice:
Chris Mosley highlights
Mosley was not among the group of running backs invited to the 2026 NFL scouting combine, though the amount of interest that the North Carolina Central back has garnered could indicate that he might be on the Lions and other teams’ minds late in the 2026 NFL draft or as an undrafted free agent.
