Jones could remain in Indianapolis despite his contract with the franchise expiring.

But it is being reported by Yahoo Sports that the team is exploring their options to retain the quarterback.

The Colts went on to end their season on an eight-game losing slide as they missed out on the playoffs.
This is despite suffering just two defeats in the first ten games of the season.
General manager Chris Ballard, 56, previously outlined the Colts’ intention to retain Jones.
But no agreement has yet been reached.
Jones has raked in a staggering $123 million in career earnings.
Quarterback Jones is a leading candidate for a franchise tag from the Colts if no deal is agreed soon.
Meanwhile, backup quarterback Anthony Richardson, 23, is plotting a move away from the Colts after a disappointing season on the sidelines.
Additionally, Riley Leonard, 23, remains on the team’s roster after making one start during his rookie campaign.
Jones will become a free agent on Wednesday, March 11 if no agreement is reached in time with the Colts.
