The Denver Broncos fell just one game short of Super Bowl LX, but they’re confident that a healthy Bo Nix will have them right back in the mix in 2026.

Denver’s offense won’t have it’s plays called by head coach Sean Payton next season, however. According to a new report from The Athletic’s Nick Kosmider, Payton is set to hand the play-calling duties over to new offensive coordinator, Davis Webb.

Webb began his NFL coaching career in February 2023, when the Broncos hired him as quarterbacks coach. The 28-year-old former quarterback adapted quickly, focusing on player development and scheme implementation during his first two seasons in the role.

Ahead of the 2025 season, Webb earned a promotion to offensive pass game coordinator while continuing as quarterbacks coach. In that capacity, he helped refine Denver’s passing concepts and supported Nix through a productive campaign.

Following the team’s playoff exit and the subsequent dismissal of offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, the Broncos elevated Webb to offensive coordinator on February 2. At 31 years old, he became one of the league’s youngest coordinators after just three seasons on the staff.

Per Kosmider, Payton confirmed at the NFL Scouting Combine that Webb will serve as the Broncos’ primary play-caller for the 2026 season.
