Minnesota Football already had a few 2027 commits heading into late-February with California quarterback Furian Inferrera, Mississippi running back Greg Hargrow, and in-state defensive lineman Eli Diane, but the Gophers have now added their fourth verbal commitment in Moorhead tailback Taye Reich. The 5-10 tailback had an outstanding junior season for Moorhead, in which he ran for 16 touchdowns and 1,416 yards, while also adding 32 receptions through the air.

Reich has been a huge part of the rise of Moorhead football over the last three years, and he also held offers from schools such as Kansas State and North Dakota State. The talented tailback got his first offers from Kansas State and North Dakota before his sophomore season, and then the Gophers joined the mix last March.

Minnesota is hoping to go three-for-three on Moorhead 2027 recruits, as quarterback Jett Feeney and wide receiver David Mack remain on the board now that Reich is in the boat. Reich is currently unranked by 247Sports.

Stay tuned for more on Reich’s commitment.
