LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Northside High School has parted ways with head football coach Jacarde Carter.
He led the Vikings for three seasons, achieving a 14-20 record and securing playoff appearances each year.
The team finished this past season with a 6-6 record, marking their best performance since 2010.
Colleagues said he was terminated as coach because of recent posts that violated Lafayette Parish School System social media policy and were objectionable to the superintendent.
A spokesperson for the school district said Carter was removed by Northside’s principal as the coach, but remains employed as a teacher.
