Miami defensive lineman Rueben Bain Jr. was pleased with how his interview went with the Tennessee Titans at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.

Bain Jr. is projected to be a top five pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The 21-year-old’s 9.5 sacks as well as his 15.5 tackles for loss spoke volume last season. He also went for one interception, one forced fumble in addition to one pass defended on the year. Bain Jr. wowed Titans coach Robert Saleh with his play on the field for the Hurricanes, as Saleh attested to at the combine on Tuesday. A day after coach Saleh’s laud of the standout defensive end, Bain Jr. addressed the interview he had with Tennessee at the podium on Wednesday.

According to Titans beat reporter Jim Wyatt, Bain Jr. believes that he aced his formal interview with the Titans at the combine.

“The interaction with (the Titans) was great, had a formal interview,” Bain said. “We killed it, went it and approached everything with the right mindset.”

Bain Jr. also received words of encouragement from Titans quarterback Cam Ward, as Wyatt reported. Ward was Bain Jr.’s teammate at Miami in 2024.

The Titans have the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Bain Jr. is a player that has the potential to be available when Tennessee goes on the board for the first time on draft day.
