Former Michigan Wolverines staffer LaTroy Lewis has been fired by the Atlanta Falcons. The dismissal came shortly after a report that Lewis sexually assaulted a woman in 2024 when he was at Michigan.
ESPN has since reported that the Ann Arbor Police Department is investigating the allegations, which are from an incident that occurred on Dec. 5, 2024. Paul Corliss, the University of Michigan’s assistant vice president of public affairs, released a statement to Tony Garcia of the Detroit Free Press on Friday.
“These allegations are deeply concerning,” Corliss said. “As we have noted, the University launched an investigation of the circumstances and conduct leading to Sherrone Moore’s firing, as well as a broader culture review of the Athletic Department. We continue to urge anyone with relevant information to reach out to the law firm conducting the investigation at umconcerns@jenner.com. The work is ongoing, and we will be able to share more when it is completed.”
Lewis came to Michigan in 2022, joining Jim Harbaugh’s coaching staff as a graduate assistant. He was then named a defensive analyst in 2024, according to his LinkedIn. He left following the 2024 season, serving as Toledo’s defensive line coach in 2025 before being hired by the Atlanta Falcons as an assistant defensive line coach on Feb. 10, 2026.
