Led by general manager Mike Borgonzi, the Tennessee Titans have a large contingent of scouts and personnel at the NFL Scouting Combine.

While most of the media attention has focused on the edge or even the wide receiver positions when outlets have spoken with Borgonzi and head coach Robert Saleh, another player has come up and received glowing reviews: Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.

Both Borgonzi and Saleh talked about his elite skill set and compared him to some of the best backs in the league. While this could just be the typical chatter that happens at the combine, Matthew Berry of NBC Sports doubled down on those comments.

“I was at the NFL Combine last night, talking to a bunch of people, hearing a lot of rumors. Some about free agents, some about trades, some about the draft.” Berry said, ”But the craziest rumor I heard? Of all the ones, this was the most surprising. The rumor I heard last night… the Titans think Jeremiyah Love is the best player in the draft.”

Heading into free agency, running back might be the most stable position on the Titans roster with Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, and Kalel Mullings in place for 2026. But there have been rumors swirling that Pollard could be a salary-cap casualty in the coming weeks.

Even if Pollard is in jeopardy, it would be counterproductive to move on from him prior to the draft, and Borgonzi appears savvy enough to keep his cards close to the vest and not give teams an insight into what they are thinking with the fourth-overall selection, especially if they do covet Love.
