The New York Giants won the John Harbaugh sweepstakes this offseason, and he is now leading the charge to get the team back to competing in the NFL.

He will be tasked with helping the team’s young nucleus, led by quarterback Jaxson Dart. It will be interesting to see what type of moves Harbaugh prioritizes in year one to get the most out of his young QB.

A new mock draft from A to Z Sports has the Giants landing one of the top pass catchers in the 2026 NFL Draft class, but there is some risk that comes with him.

Giants land Arizona State star WR Jordyn Tyson in a new 2026 NFL mock draft

“If everything comes back clear on Jordyn Tyson medically, I struggle to see how the Giants pass on him, even if a player like Mauigoa or Fano is on the board. He’s so smooth and creates such easy separation as a route runner, despite having a vertical element to his game, too. Having Malik Nabers on one side and Tyson on the other would open the offense up for Jaxson Dart in year two.” – Rob Gregson, A to Z Sports, Pittsburgh

Jordyn Tyson’s skill is undeniable. When healthy, he is not only one of the top wide receivers in the 2026 NFL Draft class but also one of the best players in the class. Unfortunately, injuries have derailed him a bit, and now some are questioning whether they are willing to use a top pick on the WR.

For the Giants, a duo of Tyson and Malik Nabers would have the potential to develop into one of, if not the best, WR duos in the NFL. They would also be banking a lot on both players making full recoveries from their most recent injuries to give them a chance to reach their projected ceilings.

Figuring out if Dart is the team’s long-term answer at QB should be the top priority for the Giants this offseason. And the best way to do that is to give him as many weapons as possible at his disposal to best evaluate how good he can be in the NFL. So, yes taking Tyson this high with his recent injury history would be risky, but it would also show the team betting on Dart, and I think that would righfully so excite the fan base.
