Baltimore Ravens star defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike’s year was cut short back in Week 3 after suffering a season-ending neck injury early in the year.
In two games, he totaled seven tackles, two sacks, 10 pressures, seven hurries, and a QB hits while playing just 76 defensive snaps.
Many feared Madubuike’s neck injury could be serious enough to be career-ending, but a new report from Ravens insider Bobby Trosset indicates that may not be the case.
“I’m hearing that retirement is not in the cards for Nnamdi Madubuike and there’s a realistic expectation he will be back in a Ravens uniform this fall,” Trosset wrote on X.

Madubuike has been a force in the middle of the Ravens defensive line ever since he was drafted in the third round back in 2020.
During that time, the 28-year-old lineman logged 203 tackles, 203 pressures, 128 hurries, 37 QB hits, 30 sacks, and three forced fumbles, per Pro Football Focus.
He’s a two-time Pro Bowler and he earned his first (and only) All-Pro selection back in 2023 during a breakout season in which he recorded 56 tackles, 13 sacks, 78 pressures, 43 hurries, and 20 QB hits — all career highs.
With Madubuike presumably back in the fold, the Ravens defensive line and pass-rush instantly becomes a more legitimate force. Madubuike will pair with fellow defensive tackle Travis Jones, who led the team with five sacks in 2025, to form a 1-2 punch in the middle.
