When the New England Patriots were accused of deflating footballs to gain an advantage in January 2015, it was a major news story. It added to the long list of suspicious behavior regarding coach Bill Belichick. Although the Patriots went on to win their fourth Super Bowl title the following February, for many, the scandal left another stain on their legacy.
Be that as it may. It’s caused some to have mixed reactions. And former Denver Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer has an interesting perspective. On an episode of Guerilla Sports’ Ball Don’t Lie, Plummer said that Brady not only should not have been punished, but also should have been reprimanded along with the other 31 quarterbacks if that were the case. According to Plummer, it was a way of life, not just for him but for any starting quarterback.
But don’t take my word for it, check out the entire clip of what Plummer said, below.
