Earlier in February, the NFL won a grievance halting the public release of the NFL Players Association’s 2026 report cards, but like everything else in society, those report cards were leaked to the media, and ESPN released the information on Thursday.
The report cards are essentially a snapshot of what players think of an organization, and they cover everything from the food to the field. Unfortunately, the Titans slipped a few spots from last season, garnering low marks for ownership, the locker room, and the playing surface at Nissan Stadium.
Here is a snapshot of the best and worst graded areas:
Top graded areas
The survey backed up what everyone saw on the field: special teams coordinator John “Bones” Fassel is one of the best coaches in the league, and his A-plus grade reflected that. The Titans’ special teams went from an extreme liability to a weapon in his first season in Nashville, and the unit could improve even more with an influx of talent.

General manager Mike Borgonzi also received high marks for his first season with the organization, grading out as a B-plus. Borgonzi had a solid first-draft class and appears to have a plan to rebuild the Titans’ culture and performance.
Treatment of families and training of staff finished tied with Borgonzi with solid B-Plus grades.
Worst graded areas
As the report shows, the playing field at Nissan Stadium received the worst possible grade, an F-minus. This was a new category on the report card, and it should come as no surprise, as multiple players complained about the surface throughout the season, with many citing the artificial turf.
Of the categories that didn’t change on the report card, the Titans’ locker room dropped in comparison to the last survey, falling to a D-plus from a C-minus. While this was not voted the worst locker room in the NFL, it is falling out of the players’ favor.
The final area that fell was ownership, which fell from a B last season to a C this year. But much like the locker room, they were not at the bottom of the league.
How do the Titans compare?
ESPN released the grades in full, and the Titans ranked 24th out of 32 NFL franchises. The Miami Dolphins finished the survey with the top score in the league, while the Pittsburgh Steelers landed at the bottom of the league.
