College football fans all over knew Jeremiyah Love was fast, but his performance on Saturday during the NFL’s draft combine confirmed the eye test.
Love further bolstered his chances of being one of the top players in the upcoming draft. He ran a blistering 4.36-second 40 yard dash at Lucas Oil Stadium, which put him right up there among the fastest tested running backs in the class.

A Heisman finalist this past season after totaling 1,652-yards and 21 touchdowns last season, his outstanding performance was on a day when many of other runnings backs were also impressive. Yet it was Love’s performance that had scouts frame Love as the “clear frontrunner” among this year’s running backs.
Despite being the second fastest recorded time at his position, Jeremiyah expressed disappointment in his self which shows that as much as others have expectations for him, he has higher expectations for himself. “A little bit disappointing” Love told the NFL Network. “I wanted to run a 4.2. Didn’t get there but a 4.3 is good. I’m OK with it.”
Jeremiyah has already confirmed meeting with teams such as the Chiefs and the Rams this past week and based off his performances over the weekend, it is safe to say several teams would covet the services of the best running back in the draft.
