The Carolina Panthers are feeling like a fit for one of the league’s top available pass rushers.
Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report recently named the perfect free-agent signing for each team this offseason. Ballentine connects the Panthers to outside linebacker Bradley Chubb, who was released by the Miami Dolphins less than two weeks ago:
It would be borderline shocking if the Panthers didn’t do something to address their need for edge-rushers. Rookie Nic Scourton tied with Derrick Brown for the team lead in sacks with five on the season.
Ideally, the Panthers will land a vet who can help Scourton and Princely Umanmielen grow into bigger roles. Bradley Chubb has shared history with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero from their time in Denver. He’s coming off an 8.5 sack season in [Miami].
President of football operations and general manager Dan Morgan, during his media availability from the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday, was asked about the possibility of signing Chubb. He did not rule that avenue out.
“I don’t think anything’s gonna be off the table,” Morgan stated. “We’ll explore that, we’ll talk to his agent. But I wouldn’t say anything’s upcoming. But we’ll definitely stay in that and see where it goes.”

Despite clinching their first division title in a decade, the Panthers struggled mightily in getting to opposing quarterbacks—ranking 31st in pressure rate (16.5 percent) and 30th in sacks (30).
