A playoff team with 10 picks, including two first-round picks, almost feels unfair! The Rams are already a strong program and will get even stronger with this incoming draft class. My goal with this draft class is to get at least one cornerback, some wide receiver depth with future starting potential, and the best player available for depth.
They have some cap to play with, but you could also see them make some moves in the offseason prior to the draft. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them trade picks, players, etc., because we know this team has no problem making moves to get the players they want.
Note: Teams inevitably trade draft picks during the draft; I will not be. I’m standing pat and selecting based on how the roster will look today, so no free agency either.
2026 Los Angeles Rams: Overview
Los Angeles Rams 2026 7 Round NFL Mock Draft
#13 – Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
I could’ve targeted the corner here, but I knew we could wait til my next pick. I wanted to lock up arguably the best wideout in the class. Don’t get Tate confused with former OSU wideouts before him; he brings his own special blend of size and speed that will be huge as their #3 option this season and a starter in a year or two when Adams is gone.
#29 – Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson
Explosive, physical corner, and even though he may only be 5’11”, he plays bigger than his size would suggest. He should easily come in and earn reps from day one.
#61 – Gennings Dunker, OT, Iowa
I was surprised to see Dunker here at pick 61. I see him as a top 50 pick, but he will be nice depth early and should start in a year or two.
#93 – Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU
I know he was hurt most of 2025, but this kid has talent and would be a huge get for their future quarterback. He’s a good distributor and, with a healthy draft season, should show teams what made him such an intriguing prospect. He has a live enough arm to make the throws needed, he’s got enough reps under his belt to show he can do it, and would be a great understudy for a future Hall of Famer like Stafford.
From pick 167 on, I targeted depth with some standout tool(s) that could turn them into more than just a depth piece down the road. I think Boettcher has the best chance for early playing time, as he’s a physical tackle machine and has a high football IQ. Whether it was throughout his collegiate career or during the Senior Bowl recently, Boettcher showed he’s a guy teams are going to love to have on their roster, and landing him at 209 would be a steal in my opinion.
#167 – Parker Brailsford, IOL, Alabama
#206 – Jakobe Thomas, SAF, Miami (FL)
#209 – Bryce Boettcher, LB, Oregon
#233 – Devon Marshall, CB, NC State
#251 – RJ Maryland, TE, SMU
#256 – Barion Brown, WR, LSU
RECAP
This was a great draft in my opinion. I think this would reload the offensive depth while adding a high-end corner and a really nice linebacker. Adding two wideouts and two corners feels like a smart play for this team, as they need reinforcements at both positions. Getting your potential quarterback of the future, adding an athletic depth tight end, safety, and big-time returner at wideout is just a nice way to add icing on top of this draft cake! With the way this roster is built, they can make some moves or take players some would see as “reaches,” because they have the draft capital and a strong core to do so.
