Seven former Tennessee football players convened in Indianapolis for the NFL combine late last week and over the weekend to workout in front of and interview with NFL teams ahead of the April’s NFL Draft.
There’s always interesting content to come out of the draft and that was no exception this season. Most notably, quarterback Joey Aguilar discussed his failed quest for an extra year of eligibility and playing with a benign tumor in his shoulder.
Aguilar did not go through any of the physical drills during the combine as he continues to work his way back to full health after undergoing surgery to remove that tumor in January. Jermod McCoy said that doctors have cleared him for full work but he also did not participate in physical tests, opting to instead wait until Tennessee’s Pro Day later this month.
Josh Josephs did not appear to go through any of the drill work though it is unclear why not. But the four others did go through drills and ran the 40-yard dash. Miles Kitselman provided some entertainment while expressing his frustration with his time.
Here’s the 40-yard dash time for the four former Vols that competed.
