The Tennessee Titans had a season to forget in 2025.

In quarterback Cam Ward’s first season at the helm, the Titans struggled to a 3-14 record. Robert Saleh replaces Brian Callahan as the head coach, and there will likely be plenty of roster turnover this offseason as well.

When you have a talented rookie quarterback like Ward, adding solid weapons around him is crucial. With the No. 4 pick in the first round of the 2026 draft, the Titans will definitely have a chance to take an elite offensive weapon.

Luke Easterling of Athlon Sports recently published a new mock in which the  Titans select Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. Love is widely thought of as the best running back in the class and could immediately be a star in the NFL.

Regarding Love’s fit in Nashville, Easterling offered the following:

There are a couple of defenders who are worthy here, but Love is arguably the best player in the entire draft. He would give Cam Ward a huge boost on offense, both as a runner and a receiver, with the explosiveness to score on every touch.

As Easterling mentioned, there are also several defenders the Titans could select. The team needs to get better on both sides of the ball, but perhaps the recent trade for edge-rusher Jermaine Johnson would make the team comfortable going offense in the first round.

In 2025, Love rushed for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns while averaging just under seven yards per attempt. Love also caught 27 passes for 280 yards and three scores, showing his ability to help in multiple phases.

2025 was the second consecutive season that Love ended with at least 1,100 rushing yards. The Notre Dame product also holds his own as a pass blocker, and demonstrates a high football IQ and elite vision.

The Titans could certainly use a running back. Veteran Tony Pollard hasn’t been bad by any means, but he’s another year older in 2026 and not near the explosive athlete Love is. The Titans can free up some money by cutting Pollard, and then draft Love to pair with Tyjae Spears.
