The Louisville Kings just keep swinging for the fences. RB James Robinson, the former standout with the Jacksonville Jaguars, is signing with the Kings in the wake of Jalen Jackson’s injury.

James Robinson is a name that needs no introduction. At 27 years old, he still has some juice left in the tank, after a promising NFL career came to a sudden halt due to injury.

Robinson burst onto the scene in 2020, signing with the Jaguars as an UDFA. During his rookie year, James racked up 1,070 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. He set an NFL record for the most scrimmage yards (1,414) by a rookie in a single season.

The following year, James was putting together another strong campaign with eight scores and 767 yards – but a torn achilles sidelined him for quite some time. Robinson never returned as the same back, struggling to maintain a spot on a 53 man roster. Most recently, Robinson was with the New Orleans Saints.

Robinson was absolutely electric during his college career at Illinois State. He rushed for over 4,400 yards, with 44 touchdowns to his name.

At 5’9”, 219lbs., Robinson is a small, yet stocky back. He fits the profile for what the Kings want in their backfield, especially with the loss of Jackson to IR. He’s one of the most recognizable signings for any organization in the UFL so far.
