CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – Hamilton County has asked the state of Ohio for $234 million more to renovate Paycor Stadium for the Cincinnati Bengals, an amount that would allow the county and the team to expand a proposed $470 million renovation project.
The money would come from a new state program aimed at supporting sports facilities throughout the state. The county and the team had been expected to make the request since state lawmakers created the program in 2025.
“As you know, Ohio benefits significantly from being home to two NFL franchises,” Hamilton County Administrator Jeff Aluotto wrote in a Jan. 28 letter to the state. “The NFL is a powerful economic engine and source of statewide pride.”
