BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Funeral arrangements have been announced for former LSU and Louisiana Tech wide receiver Devonta Lee.
Louisiana Tech announced Lee’s passing in a tribute posted on social media. The football player inspired many people with his battle against bone cancer.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Devonta Lee, a former Bulldog wide receiver,” the post said. “Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and former teammates during this difficult time.”
A public visitation and funeral will take place at Faith Temple Church, which is located at 11605 Fontana Lane in Independence.
The visitation is set for Saturday, March 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m.
Lee played three seasons for the LSU Tigers before transferring to Louisiana Tech. He was also a four-star recruit out of Amite High School.
