This team is really convinced that DeVonta Smith can be a number one wide receiver, that he can be a lead guy in a passing game.
He can be the alpha here and you know what?
I agree, I agree with them.
Like, I think DeVonta Smith could be that guy if given the opportunity and it kinda reminds me a little bit, obviously DeVonta Smith’s been in the league longer, but it does kinda remind me a little bit of last year when the Seahawks decided, “Hey, JSN’s on the come up, and, you know, DK Metcalf has kinda plateaued.
like, why don’t we not just get the older guy out of here and promote the younger guy to the number one wide receiver spot?”

It kinda reminds me of that, especially as they are bringing in Sean Mannion off this Green Bay tree where they’re gonna be more condensed formations and stuff like that, which I think DeVonta Smith could cook in that type of offense here.
Yeah, I was gonna bring up the play calling change.
That can be definitely a big part of it.
The report- I’ve seen a reporter too that is saying the Eagles are asking for, like, way too much on AJ Brown, so you wonder if that changes the longer that we get into the off-season and they, like, start asking for a little bit less and a little bit less to actually see that change.

But I wouldn’t be shocked at all for AJ Brown leaving.
I don’t nec- I don’t think it’s necessarily a good thing for AJ Brown.
If they change up the offense in the Eagles, Jalen Hurts is still a good quarterback for fantasy receivers in terms of his catchable balls, the amount of points that the Eagles should be scoring with an offense that they had, or at least what they were like two years ago, three years ago, taking out last year.
I still think the better scenario for AJ Brown in a fantasy sense would be staying in Philadelphia, but if he does leave, like yeah, DeVonta Smith shoots up there.
And depending on the landing spot for AJ Brown, he still obviously is a very talented player.
