There’s a very real possibility the Seattle Seahawks have to replace Kenneth Walker III this offseason.
Walker, a second-round pick from Michigan State, has racked up 4,560 scrimmage yards and 31 touchdowns over the last four seasons. He saved the best stretch of his career for Seattle’s playoff run this past season, rushing for 313 yards and four touchdowns. Although the Seahawks struggled at times to move the chains in the Super Bowl, he carried the offense with 135 rushing yards on 27 carries.
Despite being incredibly productive this past season, Walker didn’t receive the franchise tag from the Seahawks. That means he’s poised to become an unrestricted free agent.
If Walker signs elsewhere this offseason, he’ll become the fourth player to win Super Bowl MVP and then start the following season on a different team.
