Maxx Crosby’s future with the Las Vegas Raiders has been a hot topic of discussion so far this offseason, and we just received a key update from an NFL insider.

According to Mike Silver of The Athletic, Crosby wants a change of scenery and play for a new franchise in 2026, which is a fantastic development for interested teams, such as the New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, and Seattle Seahawks.

However, the Raiders’ asking price for Crosby is still incredibly high, as Las Vegas wants two first-round picks and a player.

“Based on several conversations with league sources, the Raiders have not moved off from their asking price of two first-round picks and a player,” The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported. “Several teams are interested, but decision makers are getting mixed signals from the Raiders in regards to their genuine interest in dealing their star.”

Though Las Vegas’ unwillingness to move off of their steep asking price for Crosby is frustrating, the superstar edge rusher wanting out is still great news for the Patriots, Lions, and Seahawks.

Out of three teams, the Patriots feel best equipped to trade for Crosby and meet the Raiders’ demands.

New England will be set up with over $50 million in cap space after releasing Stefon Diggs to take on Crosby’s contract, and the franchise also has a plethora of picks in April’s draft.

That doesn’t mean Detroit and Seattle can’t pull off a trade for Crosby, but it will be more challenging, especially for the Lions, as they already have a superstar edge rusher on a lucrative deal in Aidan Hutchinson.
