The San Francisco 49ers are filling their tight ends coach vacancy with an internal promotion.
According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, the 49ers have promoted Cameron Clemmons from assistant offensive line coach to tight ends coach. He replaces Brian Fleury, who departed to become the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks.

Clemmons has served as the 49ers’ assistant offensive line coach since 2024. Before joining San Francisco, he spent four seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. Clemmons worked as the Raiders’ assistant offensive line coach from 2021 to 2023 after serving as an offensive quality control coach in 2020.
Clemmons’ coaching résumé also includes collegiate stops at the University of Tennessee and Eastern Kentucky University.
A former offensive lineman himself, Clemmons played at Western Kentucky University from 2010 through 2014. He appeared in 46 games and earned second-team All-Conference USA honors during his college career.
