Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III — who’s set to become a free agent next week — recently switched agents as he gears up for the biggest payday of his career. And it doesn’t bode well for a return to the Steel City this offseason.

On Wednesday, Nick Farabaugh of Penn Live reported that Austin switched agents from Rodney Williams to Drew Rosenhaus, known for maximizing his clients’ contract value.

Austin, who was selected by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, recorded 1,100 receiving yards and 9 total touchdowns in 48 games, including 16 starts, from 2023–2025.

It’s hard to imagine Austin commanding much of a market given his stats as a receiver, but his game-changing speed and electric return ability could sway a team to overpay his Spotrac-projected average annual value of $4.8 million.
