Texans to host 6-7, 352-pound Alabama All-American offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor for visit

  • March 6, 2026

HOUSTON – The Texans are in need of reinforcements across their offensive line.

They plan to meet with one of the top college draft prospects at the position.

Alabama consensus All-American offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor is scheduled to take a top 30 visit with the Texans, per a league source.

Proctor, 20, is a massive blocking presence at 6-foot-7, 352 pounds.

“I’m in the 350s, aything under 355 right now, that feels really good to me,” Proctor said at the NFL scouting combine “That’s where I’ve been in this in the midseason to through last season. Obviously, being 365, 370 isn’t a good weight for me to play at, so I figured that and understood that. But if any team gives me a weight, then I can go down and achieve that.”

The Iowa native won the SEC Jacobs Blocking trophy last season and was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection.

A former freshman All-American and blue-chip recruit, Proctor almost transferred to Iowa before switching back to Alabama.

At the NFL scouting combine, Proctor ran the 40-yard dash in 5.21 seconds with a 32 1/2 inch vertical leap, a 9-1 broad jump and breach pressed 225 pounds 25 times.

Proctor met with the Detroit Lions, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and the Texans.

His experience at Alabama and in the ultra-competitive SEC prepared him for the NFL.

“I’m going against the top guys week in and week out,” Proctor said. “That’s really the thing that I see the most, we do the academic side. Everything they did, they showed me love and I’m blessed to have a lot of those people in my life.”
