The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a $36 million extension with their versatile safety.
Rams safety Kam Curl has agreed to a 3-year, $36 million deal with $24 million guaranteed, which could balloon to $39 million depending on incentives.
Curl has been one of the Rams’ most notable players, making timely plays and being a consistent tackler. The extension for Curl becomes the third move this year in the defensive secondary for the Rams, who are making defense a priority this offseason. The Rams have also signed Quentin Lake, and recently added Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie.
Curl, who began his career with the Commanders, will turn 27 this month. Last season, he totaled 122 tackles, had 2 interceptions, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble.
During the NFC Divisional round, Curl intercepted a pass against the Chicago Bears that set up a game-winning field goal.
