A celebration of life was held on Friday for the recently deceased NFL wide receiver Rondale Moore, and one of his former teammates who made it out was Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts – and after the event, he found himself a bit disappointed with the turnout.

According to Pitts, there were very few other former teammates of Moore at the event, and the lack of NFL players’ presence left a bad taste in Pitts’ mouth. He then took to social media to express his displeasure.

“Crazy how only about 6, maybe 7 of your teammates in the NFL showed up for you today,” Pitts wrote on his Instagram. “All that talk about fake emotion and nobody want to show up to lay you to rest. Just at a loss of words.”

Pitts and Moore played together in Atlanta in 2024, which was the deceased wide receiver’s only season with the Falcons. Moore was a second-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2021, the same year Pitts was drafted. Moore spent stints with the Vikings in addition to the Cardinals and Falcons.

Moore passed away in February due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was found at his home in New Albany. There was an outpouring of support for Moore from fellow NFL stars and former teammates online after his passing.
