The 2026 league year is coming up very soon. It officially begins at 1 p.m. Arizona time on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9 at 9 a.m. Arizona time.
The Arizona Cardinals have several roster decisions to make before then.
Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.
Next up is defensive lineman P.J. Mustipher.
P.J. Mustipher 2025 season
Mustipher had a solid season in a rotational role, playing 300 snaps (30 percent), while also contributing 78 snaps on special teams (20 percent) in 15 games. He had 32 tackles (11 solo/one for loss) on defense and also had a pass defensed.

A potential exclusive-rights free agent, the Cardinals can tender him a one-year deal worth the minimum $1.005 million if they want him back to provide depth throughout the offseason and in training camp.

With Dalvin Tomlinson released and Walter Nolen III potentially on the shelf in the offseason because of a knee injury, Mustipher might be called on for a role when the offseason program begins in April.
