Seattle Seahawks linebacker Chazz Surratt will be able to explore the open market as an unrestricted free agent in 2026.

Surratt played only seven of his 188 total snaps in 2025 on defense. The 29-year-old recorded 11 total tackles last season. He recorded two pressures in 2024 as a member of the New York Jets. He played in all 17 games that season, with all five of his career starts coming in that year. Surratt won his first Super Bowl ring with the Seahawks in 2026.

Each contract that Surratt has signed in his career have yielded an average annual salary between $942,500 as well as $1.2 million.

The North Carolina native’s performance in 2025 was not on par with his showing from 2024. The one-year sample size from 2025 does not call for a significant deviation from the average annual salary he has received throughout his five-year career. Surratt will get the opportunity to test the waters in free agency beginning March 11.
